The Kansas City Direct Marketing Association (KCDMA) installed MCH Strategic Data’s director of product innovation, Kirk Chritton, as the association’s president for 2013-2014. Chritton has served on the KCDMA board of directors since 2009, most recently in the role of Vice President of Programming.
“It’s a true honor to be asked to take on this role,” Chritton said. “The KCDMA has been the one of the foremost marketing organizations in the region since the 1940s. I’ll be working with our organization this year to continue that tradition.”
Chritton says that one of the challenges of the KCDMA is the changing nature of direct marketing itself. “The principles of direct marketing — direct offers with measurable results — have never been in more widespread use, but the irony is that many of today’s direct marketers don’t even think of themselves as direct marketers. We want to make sure that young marketers who work in social, mobile, interactive channels understand that they are a part of our community and that the KCDMA is for them.”
The sixteen members of the 2013-2014 KCDMA board of directors are direct marketing professionals representing Kansas City area companies including Sprint, BKV, ColorMark, emfluence, and Plattform Advertising.
Chritton has served as Director of Product Innovation at MCH since 2011. He joined MCH Strategic Data in 2000 as Director of Marketing. Prior to joining MCH, he served as Art Director at Inter-State Studio Inc. and Advertising Manager at Reinhart Fajen, Inc.
The KCDMA is dedicated to enhancing the image of direct marketing and providing ongoing educational and networking opportunities for Kansas City’s marketing community.
