How does the GetThere™ Guarantee work?

Return any mail pieces with MCH-compiled institutional addresses that have been returned by the post office due to an invalid address to MCH. If returned within 90 days from your invoice date, then a refund of 50¢ per piece will be provided. Click Here to Request Counts and Pricing or Click Here to View Counts

  • STEP 1
    Contact your MCH Representative at 800-776-6373 for instructions on mailing your pieces back. Qualifying data has been identified by our GetThere™ Guarantee logo in our marketing materials. Data is also identified on your quote.
  • STEP 2
    Group your changes together by what needs to be done with the institution. Use the following descriptions when sorting returns:Change our information:Used when address is no longer valid. It may result in removing the contact, updating our records, or deleting the institution because it is no longer open for business.Suppress the institution: Used when the institution does not want to receive mail from your company. No records for this institution will be included in your future lists from MCH. Individual names cannot be suppressed or removed. There is a one-time $25.00 suppression set-up charge. An additional fee may apply for a large number of suppression requests. We do not pay a GetThere™ Guarantee refund for suppression requests. Secure the pieces together, by group, and place in an envelope or box.
  • STEP 3
    Return the mail to us and we’ll process it accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to return the entire mail piece?

No. With the GetThere Guarantee, you only return the portion that has the address on it. If it was mailed in an envelope, just return the envelope. If the address is printed directly on promotional piece, then tear off the page where the address appears and return. Please do not put multiple addresses on a single sheet of paper, because it prevents us from being able to sort properly.

How can I identify which pieces are MCH-compiled?

Refer to the list of MCH-compiled lists below. In addition, our marketing materials and quotes identify lists that are MCH-compiled. Also available to you is our keycode service, which can be printed on the mailing label or on the mailing piece. This can help you to quickly identify and analyze your mailing list. Ask your MCH representative about this service.

Can I still send back changes after 90 days?

Yes, you will still receive credit for those that need to be deleted or changed in the system, but you will not receive credit for addresses already changed in our system.

What restrictions apply to the guarantee?

The guarantee applies only to first time use of a list. It does not apply to reuse or multiple uses of lists. We do not refund for U.S. Postal Service errors, nor for the use of endorsement lines, which cause the return of otherwise deliverable mail. In no event will MCH’s liability exceed the cost of the data.

How will I receive my credit?

A statement will be sent to you identifying the amount of credit you will receive toward your account.

All MCH-compiled data us covered. Look for the logo in our marketing materials and the “GetThere™ Guarantee Applies” on your quote that indicate guaranteed data.

We make every effort to identify data that does not qualify for the guarantee in our marketing materials and on quotes.
