Annually, MCH Strategic Data reaches out to K-12 principals across our nation’s public schools to assess the state of K-12 education. This year, we received responses from over 700 principals – with representation in every state across the country.
NOTE: responses were compiled and analyzed when the COVID-19 pandemic was in its infancy and should be viewed with that in mind.
This year's report includes the top concerns, most prevalent needs, and how leaders want to be introduced to new products and services. Some of the key highlights include:
Over the years we’ve learned that while not all K-12 principals struggle with the same issues, all are key influencers of how districts invest their limited resources. Districts prioritize spending based on expressed needs from principals, teachers, students, and parents. Principals often share similar concerns, and at the beginning of this year, those concerns centered around funding, student readiness, and economic fragility. View and download full report here.
