Sweet Springs, Missouri – August 8, 2011 – MCH Strategic Data announced today that it has acquired Wilson Marketing Group (WMG) of Los Angeles, California, including its educational database and assets.
Wilson Marketing Group is a database management and market research firm that specializes in the early childhood market. The WMG institutional database encompasses 100,000 child care centers and over 114,000 school-based pre-k and kindergarten programs. They also provide a separate database of nearly 200,000 licensed family day care residences and group care homes. WMG has been in business since 1979.
MCH Strategic Data is the leading provider of business-to-institution marketing data, including a comprehensive K-12 education database featuring more than 5 million educators.

Mike Wilson, Founder and President of WMG, has joined MCH Strategic Data as Early Childhood Market Specialist. “Mike is recognized by the industry as the foremost expert in this area,” Mr. Long said. “He brings three decades of experience in the early childhood segment and has strong bonds with a loyal base of clients. Wilson Marketing Group will maintain its California-based operations and conduct business as normal during a transitional period. Mr. Long said that MCH Strategic Data is currently analyzing the WMG database and will integrate it into MCH’s fulfillment system. The companies expect to combine operations in six to eight weeks.
This acquisition is the latest move by MCH Strategic Data to increase its leadership position in the education data market. In 2010, MCH acquired the assets of Quality Education Data — including an updated and enhanced version of the QED education database with more than 4 million K-12 educators — from Market Data Retrieval.
“MCH has experienced significant expansion as a result of the QED acquisition last September,” Long said. “We have added new clients, new staff, and have greatly enhanced and expanded the QED database so that it is bigger and better than ever before. We are currently on track to double our education market share in an 18-month period.”
For now, MCH is not revealing any information about additional planned acquisitions. “Today we’re most excited about spreading the word that Wilson Marketing Group data will now be found at MCH Strategic Data,” Mr. Long said. “We’re a company on the move and will have additional announcements in the months ahead, including new product lines and innovative new services.”
